The North Dakota American Legion Baseball awards 3-$1000.00 scholarships. The winner of the North Dakota scholarship is automatically then considered for a National American Legion All-Academic Team scholarship, sponsored by Diamond Sports, with eight applicants being awarded $2,500 and a ninth (the “Captain”) being awarded $5,000.
The National American Legion only allows scholarship applications from players who are members of teams that are sponsored by an American Legion Post. (That is, players who are members of teams that have an outside sponsor are not eligible for scholarship consideration.) Additionally, only one player from each team may submit a scholarship application.
Completed-(handwritten applications will not be accepted) scholarship applications must be received in the North Dakota American Legion office by July 15th. Please read the scholarship application carefully to ensure that all requirements are fulfilled. Failure to submit any of the required components will result in the application being disqualified from consideration.
